And here we are at my favourite time of the year! The world begins its year in January...but mine begins in August. No surprises...i am an August baby and absolutely love being one!!
The first of many celebrations kick starts with one of my very
favourite days....Friendship's Day! Do we need a special day to tell our
friends how much we love them? No! But we absolutely do need a special
day to hang around together, have fun, laugh like crazy and make sure
everyone knows how special they are to us!
Friendships, for me, are relationships for life. The people which
shall make it along with me to the finishing line will be my witnesses
for this life. The ones who'll share all of it with me.
And i do have a bunch of my friends, whom i'd like to say are the bestest ones anyone can have!
There's my entire girl gang. I believe if there was an Olympic round
for speed talking, messaging, problem solving, gossiping and having fun, we would
get home the Gold each time. Whoever said women don't get
along...well...they just don't understand women!
My early morn 'Good Morning' wisher who despite having very hectic
schedules, working all night, landing or flying away multiple times a week is always available to talk about life, work or the weather!
There
are my 'Siamese twins' (if you'll read this, you'll know who you are).
Talking to them is like wearing the best thinking cap there is! We are
either Columbus, trying to find new ground. Or like Alexander, waiting
to conquer the world! Conversations begin when i thought they were about
to end..:P
There's Chocolate...my instant mood lifter (yes, i am perfectly normal)
And
then there's me...who has known me for the longest. The one who's first
to know the reasons behind my smile, tears, laughter and fears. One of
life's biggest lessons is to learn to love yourself if we want to love
others.
Friends needn't be mirror images. No two people are ever the same.
But the ones who bond are the ones who understand and respect each
other's essence.
Some are for fun, some are for secrets, some to share the silence, some
are voices of reason,some are blankets of comfort, some are punching
bags, while some could be all of it!
We know our families the day
we are born. But there is a special joy attached to meeting new people,
exploring what's common, exploring what's not common and still enjoying
their company without dissecting the reasons for it. Friends give us
this joy!
And so, this Friendship's Day, make sure the bonds grow closer.Give each one a lot of time, Love and open
conversation. Telepathy is good...but it can never replace the magic of
what a few but well chosen set of words can do.
